The Build - Getting the body parts ready for assembly
The rosewood sides needed to be softened in water and then shaped. While this was being done, the Engelmann spruce had its sound hole cut and Vince worked his magic with the abalone and wood inlay. He also fixed and scalloped the bracing to the rosewood back once the book-matched pieces had been glued. Finally, the X bracing was fixed to the spruce top and scalloped.
